There’s Something I Want To Say

I haven’t been here for a very long time, and in all honesty it’s because I haven’t had much to say. I haven’t felt inspired to write, and fell out of love with blogging for a while. But recently there’s been something I’ve wanted to write about, to put out there, and I remembered my little blog with my wonderful support sysyem, and I realised it’s time to get back to it. Here goes…

Do You Remember Me?

I was shocked to see my last blog post was in March… about four months ago. So a lot of the people who follow me probably won’t even recognise me anymore, but hopefully you’d be willing to give me another shot and start reading my posts again, because I’m back now… As I’m wanting to stick around a little longer if that’s okay with you.

Truth be told, I don’t have a genuine excuse for not posting. I’ve been busy, but so has everyone else who makes time to post. So my deepest apologies for not being consistent.

But I hope you’re all well, I’m just about to catch myself up on as many blogs as possible but please let me know what you’ve been up to! Thanks a lot,

I’m So Sorry

Oh the embarrassment of coming back to blogging after a month with no explanation of where you’ve gone… I truly am very very sorry. But, I’m sure you guys understand that offline life gets in the way and sometimes, sadly, we have to prioritise other things. But here’s a little update on my life (it’s very bad of me to assume that you care but I care about you guys so I just feel like it’s reciprocated, you get me?) …

I’m drowning in A levels. Like literally drowning, you can’t see my bedroom floor because of the work spread out all over my carpet and it’s just building and building and building… and the breakdowns are definitely becoming more frequent. But that’s everyone’s life at the minute, stress and exams and stuff.

But on the positive side, I’m going away on Monday! I’ll be flying off to Portugal for a week with my family which I’m very excited about because it means I have an excuse to do no work at all and be as lazy as I like:)

On the blogging front, I’ve been toying with the idea of just giving it up entirely but then I remember how much I love it when I actually have the time to do it, so you’re not getting rid of me just yet. I’m in the process of doing that Q&A I promised way too long ago, it should be up soon enough:)

And there’s been an exciting turn in my life on the boy front… remember my horribly embarrassing moment with the guy I had a thing for? If not, you can read about it here. Anyway, I’m going on a date with him tomorrow! I hate calling it a ‘date’ but we’re going out for dinner and watching a film… so I feel like that’s what it is. I’m absolutely bricking it but hopefully I won’t do anything else cringey (fingers crossed!)

I’ve missed you all lots, let me know what you’ve been up to and direct me to any particular blog posts you want me to read! Goodbye for now, not forever.

Got 99 Problems, But You Guys Ain’t One

Instead of the classic 100 followers thank you note, I decided to celebrate 99. Because why not? So thank you guys so so much, I honestly never expected anyone to actually read this little blog-thing of mine so thanks for sticking around!

I’m going to be very predictable and suggest you leave some questions in the comments because I’d quite like to do a cheeky Q&A… so if there’s anything you’d like to know about me or my life now’s your chance lovely people.

Thanks again, so happy right now:)

Simple Ways To Make Your Skin Better

  1. Wear less make-up:   This is one for the girls (or boys) out there who like to put on a full face of make-up every single day. I’m not criticising you, I used to be one! If you’re somebody like me who feels like they can’t leave the house without something on their face, maybe try swapping your heavy foundation with something lighter like a BB cream. I like to use the Rimmel BB Cream 9 in 1 for a casual everyday look as it is light on my skin and still has decent coverage.

2.     Take make-up off before bed: This one’s so important. You don’t want all that gross leftover make-up clogging up your pores while you sleep. If you’re lazy like me, micellar waters are great for removing make-up because you don’t have to wash it off. I especially like Dior Instant Cleansing Water With Pure Lily Extract. Continue reading

New York Momento #1

In case any of you lovely people had noticed, I haven’t been active for just over a week now. That’s because I’ve been having the absolute time of my life in New York City… which I planned to do a blog post about but too much happened to squeeze into one post. So I’m going to write some snippets instead, among resuming my other ‘normal’ posts so if people aren’t interested in my NY trip they have other stuff to read. Without further ado.. I present you with the view from the top of the Empire State Building.

Am I In Love With My Best Friend?

Me and him go way back. We’ve been best friends since we were 11 years old, and have remained so until this day. We’re now 17. Neither of us has ever questioned our friendship (apart from the early days when we both had mini crushes on each other that would last about a week.) But now we’re both very accepting of the fact that we are best friends, nothing more.

The pro’s to having a guy best friend are endless… you avoid girl drama, you can be as gross as you want in front of him, you don’t have to buy him gifts for Valentine’s Day… and the list goes on. But the question is, can a boy and girl (assuming they’re heterosexual) ever be just friends without at least one of them developing romantic feelings for the other? Continue reading

Five ‘Top’ Songs That Make Me Cringe

I love music. I love the radio. I love some of the artists that feature in this list. But sometimes, songs are just so stupid that I can’t stand to listen to them and I have to scream at my dad in the car “SWITCH IT OFF I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE” like a bloody damsel in distress. These are some of the songs I’ve been hearing repeatedly in the charts recently and just can’t stand… Continue reading

The Miranda Sings Award

Thanks millions to fibit and crap for nominating me for this award! I love the idea of this award so much and have been really excited to do it, so let’s get to it…

  • Announce your win with a post and link the blogger who nominated you.
  • Include the featured image on your blog post.
  • Nominate 10 bloggers (or as many as you can think of) and link your awardees in the post.

Boobies

What’s the big deal? Or rather, what’s the deal with them having to be big?

I’m 17 years old with boobs that honestly haven’t grown all that much since I was about 12 years old. And from that age, as every young girl has, I’ve had to deal with the criticisms from society and this ridiculous idea of an ‘ideal body shape’. Both boys and girls have felt the need to point out that I’m ‘flat-chested’ or go as far to say I have no boobs at all. And it really upset me. Because for years I used to think that to be considered attractive or womanly or even remotely dateable, you had to have big boobs. Continue reading
